Named after Robert Burnaby, a businessman and legislator during the 1860’s, the city is home to Burnaby mountain (365 m) Burnaby lake, the Fraser River, and Burrard Inlet.

Origionally, a sparsely popluated rural district, with a population of 400 m in 1990, it has developed into a residential community for workers in Vancouver and New Westinster. Industrial development and construction of large wholesales and retail outlets followed, and urbanization has continued in recent years. Burnaby was incorporated as a district in 1892 and achieved city status in 1992. Its industries include stell fabrication, manufacturing of trucks and telecommunications euipment, lumber and shingle operations, commercial fishing and fish processing. Residential and industrial developments  have almost elimated argiculture.

Kits are a great way to get started and if you need single items after you’ve started, we have those available also. Kits and single items can be shipped anywhere in North America. Orders over $300.00 will be shipped at no cost within Canada and USA. We currently accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards.

For your convenience, we have also created short easy to follow packing videos for you to watch and learn how to pack like the pro’s!
