We are networked with Mayflower Van Lines throughout Canada and the United States we are able to store your exhibit booth in between trade shows to refrain from expensive cross country moves to and from each show.  Ferguson Moving and Storage have sections for crated only shipments. We can help with moves in all areas in the United States and Canada, air freight, ocean shipping, and our brokerage division can provide flatbeds or regular freight trucking services when required. We would be happy to work with your exhibit house if they manage your booth for you. Ferguson Moving and Storage offers basic level of valuation (transit damage protection) and have many alternatives available for an additional expense which can offer protection even while your exhibit is set up on the show floor. Ferguson Moving and Storage’s Check List for every Trade Show Exhibit Shipment:

  • Call shipper/exhibitor to confirm we have all essential aspects. Contact telephone numbers, booth numbers, dray-age contractor info etc.
  • Verify details regarding the shipment. Total numbers of items, all item dimensions, clarify if any items can be tipped or stacked; check availability of docks and forklifts at loading and destination sites.  Receiving proper item count and dimensions are needed to plan out the space needed in the trailers
  • Confirm the truck dispatched is quipped for the customers’ needs. Check GPS/Satellite tracking and drivers cellular phones are working
  • Prior to all pick ups and deliveries our drivers are required to make a 24 hour pre-call to confirm dates, times and any last minute changes
  • Monitoring each shipment multiple times per day
  • To be sure what was supposed to be loaded actually was loaded , speak with the driver after loading and unloading
  • Trucks MUST  be equipped with satellite tacking and drivers MUST have cellular phones that are transporting trade show items
  • Show Decorator Contractor will receive pre-pick up and pre-delivery conformation calls to confirm dates and times shipments are to load/unload and to seek any additional requirements such as certified weight tickets etc.
  • Before show move out, Ferguson Moving and Storage will contact exhibitor’s on site representative to obtain a copy of the move out instruction sheet and understand the proper procedure for the short form bill of lading
  • On-site representative at most major trade show events. These representatives live in the area and are there to deal with the show management throughout the season. To make sure the shipments load and unload in a quick manor and to make sure the shipments tendered to us are loaded on the correct trucks the representative’s work with show management.

Brokerage

  • We work with a group of carriers that can provide service for full or portion of shipments that can move on normal non specialized tracking to succeed in cost savings. Examples of these services are palletized paper products, brochures, tools etc.
